North Leeds Model Flying Club (NLMFC)

Welcome to the North Leeds Model Flying Club

The Club was founded some 30 years ago and still has many of its founder members attending and flying most weekends. Traditionally the club meets on Sunday and Wednesday mornings. However, since moving to our new flying site near Almscliffe Crag we are able to fly seven days a week without any restrictions. We are however a four stroke and electric club. No two strokes allowed.

Our flying site boasts hard standing for parking, an extensive pitting area with taxi ways through to all three of our runways, a club portacabin for those wet days with lighting and heating and courtesy of one of our members we have "Aunty Barry's Kitchen". Tea, coffee, morning breakfast and afternoon B B Q to fuel the hungry fliers.

We have a mixture of members, young and old flying anything from Scale War Birds (4 stroke) to high speed electric jets ( not for the faint hearted or poor sighted) and a range of large I.C planes that have been converted to electric.

Have a look at our Electric and I.C galleries for full details of our members models with their specifications and conversion details.
